| Library Administration |
| The library director's office is located on the south side of the second floor near the Reference Room. Adjacent to it is the Ralph Schilling room, a meeting room with a small kitchen attached, which is available for campus meetings. |

| Reference Desk |
| As you enter the second floor from the elevators you will immediately see the Reference Desk. Librarians and other library staff are available at all times to help you with your research. The Reference area includes 80 PCs with Internet access, the library catalog, web databases and other research tools. Printing is available. If you are not sure where to start, or need help using the catalog or a database, ask at the desk for assistance. |

| Government Documents |
| The UTPA Library is a partial depository for selected categories of U.S. and Texas government documents. Government documents are included in the library catalog, and other web sites can be used to find government documents and information. Most documents may be checked out for one week at the first floor Circulation Desk. |

| Reference Books |
| The Reference Collection begins behind the reference desk. Reference books are arranged by the Library of Congress Classification Schedule beginning alphabetically with A and continuing through Z in the back of the reference area on the South Side. Reference books are for use only in the reference room and may not be checked out or removed from the second floor. |

| Print Journals |
| Print Journals are located on the second floor west according to
the Library of Congress
Classification System. For help with these journals, please
contact Reference Desk personnel. |
