Make an Interlibrary Loan Request

How Do I ... Get a book or article I need, if the UTPA Library does not have it?

(Please note, the UTPA Library will order Interlibrary Loan items only for UTPA students, staff and faculty.  Please check the Library catalog first; Interlibrary Loan will not request items the library already has.)

When I know of a specific book I want...

1.  Click on the Interlibrary Loan Form link on the left side of the web page.

2.  Click on the link for Book.

3.  Fill in the blanks with the required information.  Cited In refers to the journal or other source of information about the book.  Fill in your name and ID barcode, and click on Submit.

4.  The Interlibrary Loan department will email you when your book has arrived.  You can pick up the book at the library Circulation desk.
